A fatal crash on North Highway 47 claimed the life of a 19 year old Warrenton resident Thursday night, May 13.
Dakota A. Logan was declared dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 9:15 p.m. south of Willow Road, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.
The highway patrol reported Logan was driving north in a 2007 Mercury Montego, allegedly traveling too fast. Logan reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which drove off the left side of the road and struck an embankment and trees.
The Mercury then returned to the road and overturned. The highway patrol said Logan was not wearing a seat belt. He was ejected from the vehicle and struck by a pickup truck driving southbound.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, the highway patrol said.
