Warren County voters preferred Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Bernie Sanders in Tuesday's presidential primary.
Trump was the top vote-getter of any candidate, receiving 2,722 votes, or 45.99 percent, on the Republican ticket, according to unofficial results.
Ted Cruz followed with 2,392 votes, or 40.41 percent. John Kasich had the third-most votes with 412, or 6.96 percent.
A total of 5,917 Republican votes were made.
In the Democratic race, Sanders had 1,222 votes, or 54.48 percent. Hillary Clinton was second with 986 votes, or 43.96 percent.
A total of 2,242 Democratic votes were cast.
The voter participation was higher than estimated. Of the 21,586 registered voters in the county, 8,178 went to the polls. The 37.89-percent turnout was higher than the two previous presidential preference primary elections.
As of Wednesday morning, the Associated Press had not declared a winner in either race statewide.
