County moves to new fitness center facility

The Warren County Health Department has moved its fitness center to a new location at the corner of North Highway 47 and Isabella Drive in Warrenton. The county purchased a vacant building there for $200,000, paid for by grants to the Health Department. Officials said they were pushed to make the move because of increasing rent costs for their former space at the mall in Warrenton. The new, 5,800-square-foot facility offers separate rooms for classes and exercise machines, and childcare every evening from Monday through Thursday.Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon and 4-7:30 p.m.; Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon and 4-6 p.m.; and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon. The fitness center is closed Sundays. In a limited special offer, the facility is free to use and classes are free to attend until Saturday, Jan. 6.

Exercise machines line the walls of the workout room in the new Warren County Fitness Center on North Highway 47 at Isabella Drive in Warrenton.
