All registered voters in Warren County will soon receive new voter identification cards from the Warren County Clerk’s office.
Staff are sending the IDs by mail this week, according to County Clerk Barb Daly.
The clerk’s office is asking all voters to check that the information on the cards is correct. If the information is correct, voters should keep the cards and not send them back to the clerk’s office.
If the information is not correct, call the clerk’s office at 636-456-3331.
Due to election law changes, all voters will be asked to show a photo ID, in addition to their voter ID, before being allowed to vote. Photo IDs can be a driver’s license, non-driver’s license, passport or military ID.
If a voter doesn’t have a photo ID, they may sign a provided statement and show one of the following: voter ID card; ID from a Missouri university, college, vocational or technical school; a utility bill, a bank statement, a government check, paycheck, or another government document showing their name and address.
Voters who have no ID may vote a provisional ballot that will count if the voter’s signature matches the signature in the voter registry, or if the voter returns to their polling place and shows a photo ID.
