Corey Paul Mitchell

Posted

On June 10, 2021, Corey Paul Mitchell unexpectedly went home to be with Lord where he was greeted with “Well done, good and faithful servant.” He was a man filled with life, love, generosity, and compassion. He impacted the lives of all who met him with his contagious personality and smile.

Corey was a radical follower of Jesus who shared his unshakeable faith with everyone. He allowed the light of Christ to shine through him in every aspect of life. He spent his days immersing himself in the things of God and believed in the power of prayer and prayed for everyone he met. He was a kind and generous man who spent each day striving to be more like Jesus.

He believed that “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Corey enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and sharing his faith. He was a strong role model and loving father to his son CJ and stepson Hunter, best friend, and an amazing husband to his wife Nicki. He was a caring son, brother, and uncle.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Corey on June 26 at the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Vandalia, Mo.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Bright Futures at Van-Far Schools.
