Community Christmas in Marthasville is Dec. 4

On Sunday, Dec. 4, the town of Marthasville will be buzzing with Christmas activities. The free event will feature crafts for kids, a visit from Santa, Christmas caroling and a hotdog and marshmallow roast.

A craft workshop for kids will be held beginning at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, located at 103 S. Second St.

At 5 p.m. the fun begins at the City Park Pavilion. Music will be provided by St. Ignatius students and Charrette Church worship team. All carolers are invited to participate in singing popular Christmas carols.

The Marthasville Fire Protection District will be serving hot chocolate from one of their trucks. At 6 p.m. Santa will arrive via fire truck to visit with the children. There will be goody bags for all the kids, cookies and hot chocolate.

The historic Grabs House and Store will be open the same day from 1 to 4 p.m. It is located at 701 E. Main in Marthasville.

The event is hosted by St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, St. Ignatius of Loyola, Charrette Baptist Church, the Marthasville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Marthasville Fire Protection District and the City of Marthasville.
