Clopton officials have rescheduled the final round of the boys tournament to Saturday after inclement weather forced them to postpone the finale Jan. 9.
Wright City will take on Wellsville at 4 p.m. in the consolation championship.
The Wildcats advanced to the consolation title game after surviving a 54-51 double-overtime affair with Winfield Jan. 7.
Wright City trailed 22-4 in the first quarter and
lost junior forward Dakota Phillips with a dislocated finger, but tied the game late in the fourth quarter.
Senior center Kyle Christopher and sophomore forward Sean McDonald — the two remaining post players for the Wildcats — fouled out late in the game, forcing Head Coach Ken Brown to play an all-guard lineup in the extra frames.
