Christopher Allen Baugh, age 72, of Layton, Utah, went to live with God on November 28, 2021, at Davis Hospital in Layton. Chris was surrounded by his loving family as he departed.

Chris was born on September 7, 1949, in St. Louis to William and Rosemary Baugh.

Chris graduated from the R-III High School in 1968 in Warrenton. Chris enlisted in the US Air Force March 23, 1971, and served active duty from March 23, 1971, to March 21, 1975, during the Vietnam War. He was stationed primarily at Edwards Air Force Base in California and Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Chris remained as a Reserve SGT from March 22, 1975, to January 31, 1977. Chris was honorably discharged on January 31, 1977.

Christopher graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla as a Civil Engineer. He worked primarily for Maricopa Health Department in Phoenix, AZ. Chris retired in 2010 and started his own business, Swimming Pool Technical Services.

Chris enjoyed karate, camping, gun collecting, astronomy and anything his children and grandchildren enjoyed. Chris especially enjoyed finding new recipes online and trying them out on his unsuspecting family. He loved experimenting with food, sometimes good and sometimes not so much. Chris loved gardening and canning apricots. At one point, he had so much okra growing in his garden, he could not figure out what to do with the obnoxious, slimy vegetable.

Chris always had cats living in his home, no matter how much allergy medicine he would have to take to keep them. He loved his cats. He would also help anyone that needed help.

Chris enjoyed researching history, specifically WWI and WWII. Both his grandfather and father served in those wars. His father landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France, and fought through Europe to the Battle of the Bulge. He came back from WWII on the Queen Mary which was being used for war efforts.

Chris was a loving husband, son, brother, father and Papa. Chris is survived by his wife, Linda; and children, Leon, Sabrina, Elizabeth, and Matthew; grandchildren, Taylor, Jasmine, Jaden, Katlyn, Andrew, Chelsea, Isabelle, Mickela, Anthony, Stephanie, and Katie; great-granddaughter, Colleen; sister, Peggy Janssen; and niece and nephews, Alina, Joel and Nick.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents; and parents, Rosemary on November 19, 2004, and William on September 26, 2020, and great-grandson, Messiah Christopher Baugh, on July 14, 2020.

Christopher's remains will be laid to rest next to his parents, Rosemary and William Baugh, at the City of Warrenton Cemetery on April 28, 2022, at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made in care of Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton.
