AGAPE is getting ready for its annual Share-A-Christmas program, which provides hundreds of local kids with Christmas presents each year.
“Last year we provided Christmas gifts to over 600 kids, and we are expecting that number to be even higher this year,” said Michelle Bernth, AGAPE executive director. “This program is the largest Christmas program in the area, and without AGAPE, these kids would not have presents to open on Christmas morning.”
Donors are needed for this program in order to provide such a high number of children with Christmas presents. Individuals, businesses and community groups can all be donors to this program. Anyone who is interested in becoming a donor or learning more can contact Michelle Bernth at michelle.b@agapemo.org or call the AGAPE office at 636-456-4645.
“We are expecting to have our largest ever number of kids to help this year,” said Bernth. “We need new donors to help support this increased number of kids. It takes the whole community working together to be able to make this program a success.”
Toys are being collected now through Dec. 10. Any new, unwrapped toys can be donated to AGAPE’s office at 713 Powell St., Warrenton, anytime Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Needed items include toys, art supplies, sporting equipment, board games, wrapping paper and books.
