Authorities have charged a Troy-area man for an alleged child molestation offense that reportedly occurred in 2016.
The incident was reported to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department on May 5, 2022, according to a court document from the sheriff’s department. The alleged offender, Andrew S. Post, 39, was charged and arrested on July 8. He is being held at the Warren County Jail without bond.
The victim in the case reported that she was aggressively groped by Post while staying at a family member’s home on North Lake Sherwood Drive in June 2016, according to the sheriff’s department. Post was reportedly living with the family member at the time.
A sheriff’s deputy located and questioned Post after the report. Investigators allege that he admitted to details of the groping incident.
Post is now charged with first-degree child molestation, a class B felony. He had an initial court hearing scheduled for July 12. The warrant for his arrest did not allow for bond.
