Immanuels United Church of Christ in Holstein will hold its 48th annual chicken dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2.Immanuels UCC is located at 17510 Church St., in Marthasville, off Highway N.Guests may join the church for worship services at 10 a.m. and then everyone is welcome to enjoy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw and homemade desserts.Guests also can browse through the country store, purchase Holstein apple butter and take a chance to win a quilt. The event also will offer games for children.Tickets are $11 for adults and $6 for children ages 6 to 12. There is no charge for children under 5.People can dine inside and outside, and carryout orders will be available.To get to the church, take Highway 47 to Highway N. Take Highway N about four miles to Holstein then turn left at the south end of the church cemetery. Event signs will be posted.For more information, call 932-4646.Chicken dinner
