A felony charge has been filed in the Warren County Circuit Court against a St. Peters man who was in possession of a $28,000 trailer stolen in 2014.Ricky L. Amos, 43, was taken into custody Jan. 4 after a warrant was issued for his arrest in December. He is charged with stealing property valued at $25,000 or more, a Class C felony. He could face a prison sentence or a steep fine if convicted.The Rockwood Forest River 29-foot trailer was stolen from Stone Storage in Wright City in April 2014, according to Wright City police.In August 2017, law enforcement seized the trailer from a property in Gasconade County after learning its location, authorities said. The license plate attached to the trailer was registered to Amos.During an interview with police Amos reportedly said he had been in possession of the trailer for a year and knew it was stolen.Amos is free on a $10,000 bond, and has a hearing scheduled for Jan. 24 at the Warren County Circuit Court.Arrest
