The Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce recently unveiled a new logo and slogan. The logo, which was designed by Jennifer Junker of Eagle Activewear, was chosen by the Chamber’s board of directors following a competition which featured more than a dozen entries. Chamber officials presented the new design to members during the organization’s monthly luncheon meeting. The new design features a dogwood tree with flowers, leaves and berries in a progressive pattern depicting the four seasons, Junker stated. Below the image is the Chamber’s new motto, “Together We Grow Business — Since 1923.” “I wanted a Missouri tree and to reflect all the seasons,” Junker told The Record. She noted that Chamber officials also expressed a desire for a new motto to accompany the logo. The Chamber held a contest in order to select the new image. Entries were accepted until Feb. 1, and 16 submissions were received. Jan Olearnick, Chamber executive director, said board members voted on each entry without knowing the identity of the designers. “I held each one up and asked for a show of hands, and the field was steadily narrowed down,” Olearnick said. “It was interesting seeing all the submissions. It wasn’t an easy decision for the board. “I was impressed with all the entries,” she added. “We’ve got a lot of talent in this town.” Warrenton Chamber of Commerce Logo
