Cemetery to host historical tour

St. Paul’s UCC Cemetery will have storytellers recounting the lives of many Marthasville residents on Memorial Sunday, May 28, starting at 1 p.m.Tours of the cemetery will run at intervals until 2:30 p.m. as part of Marthasville’s ongoing bicentennial celebrations.Most of the storytellers are direct descendants of the deceased person they are telling stories about, according to St. Paul UCC. There will be at least 14 stops on the tour.An information table in the middle of the cemetery will serve as the starting point for the group tours. Attendees are suggested to carry their own portable lawn chairs along with them on the tour. Parking is available in the field of grass along South Sixth Street.Complimentary lemonade, bottled water and cookies will be offered.
