Cedar Lake Cellars hires husband-wife chef team

Cedar Lake Cellars, a winery and event venue in Wright City, recently hired husband and wife culinary team Aaron and Ashley Lyons.Aaron Lyons will serve as executive chef and Ashley Lyons will be the chef de cuisine. He will oversee all kitchen staff while maximizing productivity.He will ensure quality culinary dishes by modifying and creating new menus utilizing local clean ingredients. Originally from California state, Aaron Lyons was the co-founder of a local private chef service where he designed personalized menus featuring a variety of options. He has served as a personal chef for many corporate executives and professional athletes including World Series and Super Bowl champions. He earned his A.A.S. degree in Culinary Arts from the Orlando Culinary Academy and is an ACF Certified Culinarian.Ashley Lyons, who originally is from Illinois, will be the winery’s first liaison between the kitchen and customers.She will ensure that the dishes are prepared to perfection and exactly what the customers ordered.Ashley Lyons also will assist in menu creation, as well as oversee product and prep work.She will conduct the final examination of food prior to being sent out to guests.As co-founder of a local private chef service with her husband, Ashley Lyons is a trained chef who has worked for world renowned and local chefs.Aaron Lyons said the winery menus will “focus on upscale American cuisine with an influence from St. Louis’ French origins.”The couple has worked for James Beard, award winning chef Hubert Keller, and said they look forward to working with local farmers as they have in the past.“Aaron and Ashley perfectly complement our winery’s vision to provide the ultimate meal in a unique setting,” said Carl Bolm, Cedar Lake Cellars owner. “As a culinary team, both bring to the table extensive experience and dedication. We are all about quality, and our guests are going to be very pleased with their creations in terms of delicious products and first-rate service.”
