Cars strike two buildings in Warrenton

Warrenton first responders answered two calls of cars running into buildings within five days of each other.On Friday, Sept. 8, around 3:30 p.m. a two-car collision on Main Street sent one car into a building on the south side of the street, just outside the Warren County Record office. The driver of the vehicle said the brakes of her car were not functioning.The other vehicle had heavy front-end damage and was disabled in the middle of the street.Record staff at the scene did not see anyone who appeared to be injured. The only damage to the building was a small dent in a door.Then on Tuesday afternoon, a car struck the office of several Warrenton attorneys near the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Highway 47.The crash happened around 1:40 p.m. The masonry of the building appeared to be damaged where the vehicle impacted beneath a window.The status of the driver or any occupants of the vehicle was unavailable by press time.The attorney names listed on the building are Jeff Robertson, Brian Mense and Lauren Hopkins.Official police department reports from both incidents, including the names of the drivers involved, were not available by press time.

A two-vehicle crash on Main Street in Warrenton Friday, Sept. 8, ended with one car disabled in the roadway and one car parked against a building next to the Warren County Record office.
