Five candidates filed for seats on the Warrenton Board of Aldermen Tuesday, creating a single race in Ward II.Candidate filing for the April 8 municipal election opened Tuesday. The filing period will close Jan. 21. The seats are for two-year terms.Incumbent Jerry Dyer, 1 St. Andrews Place, filed for a second term as Warrenton mayor.Ron Jurgensmeyer, 304 State Highway U, filed as a candidate for Ward I.Eric Schleuter, 910 Warren Ave., and Rick Brueggenjohann, 505 Lakeview Drive are seeking a position on the board to represent Ward II.Incumbent James Dreyer, 301 Bedford Drive, filed as a candidate for Ward III. No other candidates have filed as of press time.Wright CityTwo incumbents filed Tuesday for the Wright City Board of Aldermen.David Heiliger, 108 West South Second St., will run for another two-year term as mayor.In Ward I, Jim Schuchmann, 101 Anna Court, is seeking re-election.Forrest Bruce, 115 Trotters Creek Lane, and Sal Gertken, 5 Thoroughbred Drive, have filed for the open seat in Ward II.At press time no other candidates had filed for office.TruesdaleTwo alderman-at-large positions are up for election in Truesdale. Aldermen in Truesdale do not serve specific wards. At press time there were no filings reported.MarthasvilleTwo seats are open on the Marthasville Board of Aldermen.
