Candidates file for local races

Candidates have begun filing for a number of seats for the April 2026 municipal election.

The next general municipal election in Warren County will be held April 7, 2025 and there are a number of local seats available. Filing opened at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, and will be open until Tuesday, Dec. 30. See specific filing dates and hours below.

Candidates file for local races

Candidates have begun filing for a number of seats for the April 2026 municipal election.

The next general municipal election in Warren County will be held April 7, 2025 and there are a number of local seats available. Filing opened at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, and will be open until Tuesday, Dec. 30. See specific filing dates and hours below.

Warrenton Board of Aldermen

The Warrenton Board of Alderman has three two-year terms available. Ward 1 Alderman Jack Crump, Ward 2 Alderman Scott Schulze and Ward 3 Alderman Brandon Lang have terms expiring April 2026.

As of Monday morning, all three incumbents have again filed for their positions. The only other filer is Cody Turner in Ward 1.

Regular hours for filing will be from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays only. A declaration of candidacy may be filed with the city clerk or deputy city clerk at 200 West Booneslick Rd.

Truesdale Board of Aldermen

The Truesdale Board of Aldermen has two two-year terms available. Alderman-at-large Mike Thomas and Alderman-at-large Joe Brooks have terms expiring April 2026.

As of Monday morning, Mike Thomas has again filed for his seat. Kelly Riehl has also filed a declaration of candidacy for alderman-at-large.

Regular hours for filing will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except between the hours of 1 and 2 p.m. A declaration of candidacy may be filed with the Office of City Clerk at 109 Pinckney St. 

Wright City Board of Aldermen

The Wright City Board of Aldermen has three two-year positions open this cycle. Mayor Michelle Heiliger, Ward 1 Alderman Karey Owens and Ward 2 Alderman Ramiz Hakim have terms expiring April 2026.

Attempts were made to get information on candidates who have filed for Wright City, but could not be obtained by press time.

Regular hours for filing will be 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A declaration of candidacy may be filed with the city clerk at 636 Westwoods Rd.

Marthasville Board of Aldermen

The Marthasville Board of Aldermen has two two-year positions available. Alderman Nicholas Lange and Alderman Christopher DeVore have terms expiring April 2026.

Marthasville City offices could not be reached as of press time Monday.

Regular hours for filing will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A declaration of candidacy may be filed with the city clerk at 402 E. Main St. 

Village of Innsbrook Board of Trustees

The Innsbrook Village Board of Trustees has two two-year trustee seats available.

As of Monday morning, no one has filed to fill the two open seats.

Regular hours for filing will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. A declaration of candidacy may be filed with the village clerk at 13600 Highway M.

Warren County R-III School District

The Warren County R-III School District has three three-year positions available. Board members Rich Barton, Carolyn Spraggs and Franci Schwartz have terms expiring April 2026.

As of Monday morning, all of the incumbents listed above have refiled for their seats, no other candidates have filed.

The filing period will be during the district’s regular business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those interested in running may file at the district’s central office located at 385 West Veteran Memorial Parkway. The central office will be closed for the holidays Dec. 24 through Jan. 1, 2026. The last day to file, Dec. 30, the office will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates should call 636-456-6901 or email swaileslf@warrencor3.k12.mo.us.

Wright City R-II School District

The Wright City R-II School District has three three-year positions available. Board members Heidi Box Halleman, Kyle Lewis and Beth Dean have terms expiring April 2026.

Attempts to reach the district Monday morning prior to press time were unsuccessful.

The filing period will be during the district’s regular business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except for the first and last day of filing. The district’s offices will be open for one hour on Dec. 30 starting at 4 p.m. Those interested in filing may do so at the superintendent’s office located at 90 Bell Road.

Montgomery Water Supply District No. 1

The Montgomery Water Supply District has two three-year positions available. The positions are for sub-district 3 and sub-district 4.

Sub-district 3 incumbent Karl Finke has again filed to fill his spot, no one has filed for sub-district 4 as of Monday morning.

Filing may be made at the office of the district clerk, 22673 NW Service Rd.

Warren County Emergency Services Board

The Warren County Emergency Services Board has three open seats, one for District 1, one for District 2 and one for a member at large.

As of Monday morning all three incumbents have filed to retain their seats. They are Robert Green, District 1, Caitlyn Struckhoff, District 2 and Matt Eskew, at-large.

Filings may be made weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Dec. 30 until 5 p.m. 

Warren County Ambulance District

The Warren County Ambulance District has two three-year openings for directors. The openings are for Sub-District 1, currently held by Diane Grimes and Sub-District 4, currently held by Teresa Edwards.

In District 1 Teresa Edwards, Diane Grimes and Neal St. Onge have filed to run, while in District 4 Christina Allen has filed to run as of Monday morning.

Filings may be made weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the Warren County Clerk, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Suite 302.
