Candidate filing for the April 8 municipal elections opened on Dec. 10 and candidates continued to file for open seats until Dec. 31. Citizens must be registered to vote by March 12, 2025 in order to participate in the election.
A number of seats on local boards will be open during the election across Warren County.
Warrenton
On the Warrenton Board of Aldermen, Mayor Eric Schlueter, Ward 1 Alderman Larry Corder, Ward 2 Alderman Steven Cullom and Ward 3 Alderman Roger Romaker will all have their seats open during the election.
As of the afternoon of Dec. 23, only the incumbents, Schlueter, Corder, Cullom and Romaker had filed for the election. Since then, Melissa Jepsen has also filed for the election.
Wright City
In Wright City, Ward 1 Alderman Don Andrews and Ward 2 Alderman Kim Arbuthnot will face elections.
Both Andrews and Arbuthnot had refiled as of Dec. 10, according to City Clerk Abbie Ogborn no one else had filed as of Dec. 30.
Truesdale
In Truesdale, Mayor Jerry Cannon’s seat, along with Aldermen Justin Naranjo and Kari Hartley will be up for election. As of the morning of Dec. 23, Cannon, Naranjo and Hartley had refiled for their positions. There were no other filers as of Dec. 30, according to city officials.
Marthasville
In Marthasville, Mayor David Lange’s seat will be open along with East Ward Alderman Gary Dixon and West Ward Alderman Leo Meyer.
According to City Clerk Ravin Kersting, only Lange had filed for that election as of Dec. 10. As of Dec. 17, Leo Meyer had also refiled for the election.
Innsbrook
In the village of Innsbrook, Board Chairman Dan Reuter and Trustees Cynthia Cook and John Simon will face elections.
According to village officials as of Dec. 10, Reuter and Cook had refiled along with Lynda Baker who had also filed for the election. As of Dec. 17, Alice Jensen had also filed for the election, according to Reuter.
Mike Caton was the only new addition to the list of filers as of Dec. 23. Sandra Zahradka had also filed for one of the open seats as of the morning of Dec. 30.
Boards of Education
Keith Harbison has filed for an open seat on the Warren County R-III Board of Education.
