Two Toyota Camrys collided on Interstate 70 Wednesday, Sept. 13, leading to minor injuries of two children and an adult, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol preliminary report.
Both cars were eastbound in Wright City at 5:09 p.m. when Irfan Ul Haq Syed, 37, Columbia, swerved right while driving a 2007 Camry, according to the highway patrol.
The Syed vehicle struck a 1993 Camry driven by Christina Abell, 46, O’Fallon. The Abell vehicle hit an embankment and overturned, according to the patrol.
Abell and passengers Benjamin Abell, 5, and Savannah R. Shell, 8, were taken with minor injuries to St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis by Warren County Ambulance. Abell was not wearing a seat belt, but the two children were, according to the patrol.
Syed was not hurt. He was wearing a seat belt.
