Record Managing Editor Two brothers are facing criminal charges for their alleged role in an armed robbery of a Wright City home. Daniel L., 27, and Kyle M. Turner, 21, both of the 24000 block of Highway U, Warrenton, were both charged last week with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action, both felonies. According to a probable cause statement, Wright City police received a report of a robbery that occurred on Nov. 6, 2013, at a home in the 100 block of S.W. Second Street. The home’s occupants told police two male victims entered the home, one armed with a handgun and the other wearing a ski mask and holding a pocketknife. The victims told police the brothers allegedly stole approximately $2,200, the probable cause statement shows. Police were tipped off to the brothers’ role in the alleged armed robbery by one of their girlfriends. The female told officers the brothers were at her residence prior to the incident and she heard them talking about robbing the home. She followed the brothers to the residence on Second Street, police said, and she entered the home. She saw Daniel Turner pointing a gun at one of the victims who was lying on the floor and identified Kyle Turner as the suspect wearing the ski mask, according to the probable cause statement. A $250,000 bond has been set for both suspects. As of early this week, Kyle Turner had yet to be arrested, according to online court records. Daniel Turner turned himself in Thursday. Both suspects have a criminal history, according to online court records, that includes drug possession and stealing.
