Warrenton’s Colton Brosenne and Morgan Marschel led Warrenton with first place finishes at the Union Invitational Tuesday.
Brosenne registered the lone first place finish for the Warrenton boys track and field team. He placed first in the triple jump with a distance of 12.6 meters. Marschel registered the lone first place finish for the girls track and field team. She placed first in the 400-meter dash. She finished the race in 1:00.44.
The Warriors also registered two second place finishes. Senior Madelyn Marschel placed second in the 800-meter run. She finished the race in 2:33.94. The Warriors placed second in the boys 4x800-meter relay. Phillip Kackley, Bryan Guerrero, Deacon Forrest and Wyatt Claiborne finished the relay in 8:49.84.
Warrenton placed third in five events. Claiborne placed third in the 1,600-meter run. He finished the race in 4:43.86. The Warriors also placed third in four relays. The Warrenton boys runners placed third in the 4x100-meter relay and 4x200-meter relay. Peyton Dawson, Zachariah Bristol, Anthony Lombardo and Brosenne placed third in both relays. The Warrenton girls runners placed third in the 4x200-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay. Evangeline Rhama, Kiera Daniel, Isabelle Morris and Morgan Marschel placed third in the 4x200-meter relay. Madelyn Marschel, Morris, Rhama and Morgan Marschel placed third in the 4x400-meter relay.
The Warrenton track and field teams are slated to compete at the Wright City Invitational Thursday.
