Two bridges in Wright City will receive maintenance work beginning this summer. One project will be on Warren County Route F over Interstate 70. The other project is on Wildcat Drive over I-70.“We will be replacing the expansion joints on these bridges to extend the life of the bridges,” said Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Area Engineer Erik Maninga.Work on these projects will be completed at night with one-lane closures and flagging operations. All lanes will be open during the daytime. The work could begin as early as this summer and should be completed by this fall.“A more specific schedule will be shared after the contractor provides their plan for completing the work,” Maninga added. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract to Lehman Construction of California, Mo., for the two bridge rehabilitations. The total cost of the projects is $385,855.For more information call toll-free at 1-888-ASK MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.mo.gov/northeast.MoDOT
