Brewskies open for business

Brewskies Eatery and Beer Garden in downtown Warrenton is open again after half a year with its door shut.New owners Tina Horner and Jessica Motley have been working for several months to renovate the interior of the restaurant, including a modern sound system and a sleek new jukebox, along with new carpeting and a fresh coat of paint.The restaurant reopened Monday, Jan. 30. There will be an official ribbon cutting Friday, Feb. 3.Several members of Brewskies' previous staff have returned to the restaurant. Motley said they are excited to find ways to improve on their menu.One thing that hasn't changed: the Brewskies Special sandwich, a local favorite.Motley co-owns a bar in O'Fallon where Horner, a Warrenton resident, was previously employed.The two said they have plans for live outdoor entertainment in the restaurant's beer garden once the weather warms up.For more information about how the two friends found themselves in charge of a well-known downtown restaurant, pick up an issue of the Warren County Record this Thursday.
