The Boys and Girls Club of St. Charles County will partner with the Wright City School District beginning in the 2022-2023 school year to provide after school care.
The Wright City R-II School Board in April approved a memorandum of understanding with The Boys and Girls Club for the organization to provide after school care beginning next school year.
The Wright City R-II School District will continue to provide the space and after school snacks for students, and the staffing and programming will be provided by the Boys and Girls Club, according to the agreement. The agreement is expected to provide a significant saving for parents in the community, and along with quality programming for students.
The Boys and Girls Club of St. Charles County will also provide extra hours to help working parents. The program will be offered from the end of the school day until about 7 p.m. This includes days of early dismissal. The program will be offered to elementary-age students in the district at West Elementary School.
