The Wright City Blue and Gold Scholarship Dinner Auction will be held on Saturday, March 28, at the Wright City Lions Club. This year’s theme is “Blue and Gold Through the Decades — Relive the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.” Everyone attending can pick their favorite decade and dress accordingly. This event sponsored by the Wright City High School Scholarship Fund Committee has provided 300 scholarships for graduates of the Wright City area in the amount of $450,000.00 over the past 14 years. Many people work hard to put this event together each year in support of area seniors. The money raised offers them some financial assistance for the opportunity to further their post-graduation education. Many wonderful donations have been received for the auction, including a seven-day vacation stay at Villa Monte in Phoenix, Ariz., along with a weekend at the car races, Cardinal baseball tickets, iPad mini, reserved seats at Wright City High School graduation, symphony tickets and much more will be available to bid on at the auction. The fundraising goal is $45,000.Contact committee members Jackie Nierman at 636-497-6220 or Lois Meyer at 636-745-3333 to make a reservation to attend the event.Blue and Gold Auction to raise money for scholarships
