Justin Webb, 33, of Bellflower, was charged with car theft, second-degree burglary and first-degree property damage in connection to an April 8 theft in Wright City.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Wright City Police Officer Todd Clark, officers responded to a commercial burglary on Cooperative Way in Wright City on April 8.
He reported surveillance footage showed Webb entering a secured lot in the early hours of the morning on April 8.
While in the building, he used a forklift to remove a trailer from a 2015 Ford F-150 before loading the truck with stolen items and driving it through the locked gate on the property.
The stolen truck was recovered by the Wentzville Police Department later that morning, and a cigarette found in the truck was a positive DNA match for Webb.
A known associate of Webb also admitted to dropping him off near the property that morning, according to the probable cause statement.
A warrant has been issued for Webb’s arrest and he is to be held on a $20,000 cash bond.
