Prosecutors last week charged Ronald Wright, 43, with felony resist stemming from a short foot pursuit on Sept. 25. An arrest warrant was issued the day before.Wright is charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action related to a Sept. 8 heist at Jonesburg State Bank in Warrenton. He is in custody at the Warren County Jail.According to the probable cause statement, police were searching for Wright when a Wright City police officer observed him walking on Wildcat Drive. When the officer approached Wright, he allegedly ran eastbound on Beretta Court and then into a wooded area.He was taken into custody a short time later.The armed robbery was reported at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Sept. 8 at the Warrenton branch of Jonesburg State Bank, located at 508 N. Highway 47.Police said Wright was wearing a mask when he entered the bank and walked directly to a teller where he displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
