A warrant was issued Thursday for a Warrenton man who allegedly dropped a bag of methamphetamine near the Warren County Sheriff's Department.
Sean D. Robinett, 27, of the 32000 block of Valley Farm, was charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.
According to the probable cause statement, a deputy was walking to his car March 22 around 11:40 p.m. when he noticed a plastic bag containing a white powder residue lying next to the driver's side door of a pickup.
The deputy made contact with Robinett, the vehicle's owner, in a bar across from the sheriff's department. Robinett allegedly told the deputy that he had injected himself with meth earlier in the evening and that the plastic bag probably fell out of his truck or pant's pocket, according the probable cause statement.
The deputy seized multiple syringes from the truck. The substance in the bag tested positive for meth, police said.Bag containing meth found near sheriff's department leads to charges
