A spokesman for the Missouri State Auditor's office said its audit of Warrenton city officials is still in progress and will not be released to the public until late October or early November.State officials met with Warrenton city officials Aug. 6 in a closed meeting to discuss the findings of the audit. Warrenton officials sent their response to the audit back to Jefferson City on Aug. 21.The petition for the audit stems from residents’ concerns over two employee contracts that were provided to Warrenton Police Chief Greg Houdyshell and Director of Operations/Finance Officer Terri Thorn by the Warrenton Board of Alderman at the request of outgoing Mayor Greg Costello in April 2012.Residents and city employees have questioned the fairness of only giving contracts to two employees.Audit to be Made Public in Late Oct., Early Nov.
