When did you start your sport?  I started cross country my sophomore year.

What made you join your high school team?

I have always loved running and wanted to try something new.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played soccer when I was younger and I ran track & field freshman and sophomore year.

Do you have a certain athlete you aspire to be like or model your game after?

The athlete I aspire to be is Alexis Ruff, also my best friend. She is very strong and works so hard for everything she has.

What's your favorite memory of your time in school?

My favorite memory of my time in school was last year when the seniors were doing the senior walk out on the last day of school. I got to see my best friend walk and it was such a bittersweet moment. I was sad that she was graduating but I was so excited for her to start her life.

What's the best advice you've heard?

Be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

How has your sport helped shape you as a person?

Cross country has helped shape who I am because it proves I can do hard things. It has taught me that I have to work through the pain and be uncomfortable.

Do you have a teammate or coach that has been influential throughout your career?

Coach Collins has been influential to me because he does every workout with us and believes in me.

Tell me about a memorable win or accomplishment.

A memorable win was when we had our meet at Gans Creek early in the morning. When I was running the final stretch I saw the time and it was in the 23s. I was so proud of myself and I knew I had to break 24 so I gave it my all and beat my PR!

What’s one piece of advice you would give the underclassmen?

Give it your all because pain is temporary.

Do you have any pregame superstitions or a pregame routine?

Before each race, my team prays together.
