The Liberty Christian baseball team defeated Plaza Heights Christian 14-7 on Friday.Senior Tanner Meyer started on the mound, striking out five batters and giving up two unearned runs through four innings.Kaleby Bagby went 2-for-4 with two walks and had two RBIs.Brendan Dickson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.Meyer walked three times.The Eagles also faced Crosspoint Christian but had to postpone the game due to lighting malfunctions at the field.Wright City 9, Elsberry 3: The Wildcats claimed a home Eastern Missouri Conference victory on Tuesday.It was a junior showcase at the plate.Kyle Tuepker went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.Chase Jones finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.Andrew Pfuhl was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.Tyler Brittain was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.Warrenton 5, Ritenour 4: The Warriors defeated their visitors in rescheduled action in the St. Charles West Tournament on Saturday.Warrenton fell behind 4-0 after Ritenour scored all of its runs in the fifth inning.The Warriors rallied in the seventh to send the game into extra innings, with freshman Trenton McGee, juniors Hunter Capstick, senior Taylor Duvel and sophomore Chris Garrett all scoring.Duvel would score the winning run in the ninth off an RBI by Allen Shephard.LIBERTY CHRISTIAN BASEBALL WINSDerrick Forsythe photo.
