Building the wall along our southern border has been making headlines lately. There are more unanswered questions than there are detailed plans for the wall.President Donald Trump, trying to make good on his campaign wall promise, has angered Mexico. Truth is, the average American doesn’t care whether Mexico likes us or hates us.The president has been making a lot of noise that he will make Mexico pay for the wall. One of his ideas to make Mexico foot the Wall bill is to impose a 20 percent import tax on goods from Mexico.Would that mean that American taxpayers who buy those goods actually would be paying for the wall?A major obstacle to building the wall is a shortage of workers.Would undocumented workers be permitted to work on the wall?It has been reported that about half of the construction workers in Texas are undocumented. Nationwide a reported 14 percent of construction workers lack authorization to work in the U.S.At this point the wall is a Trump dream.
