Annual Home Show Sept. 22-24

The 37th Annual Builders Home and Remodeling Show returns to St. Charles Convention Center Sept. 22-24. Show hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, and Saturday, Sept. 23; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24. Admission and parking are free.The event is produced by the Home Builders Association. It gives area residents the opportunity to see 200 companies in 300 booths on both levels of the convention center.Vendors include kitchen and bath designs and fixtures, flooring, window treatments, decks, fencing, windows, siding, doors and more. Show visitors can see, learn about and buy the latest home products and services in one place and have their questions answered by many local experts. They can register to win a $500 Show Shopping Spree good with any exhibitor at the show.Jeff Devlin, licensed contractor and host of DIY network’s “Stone House Revival,” will share professional remodeling tips. Devlin will present his seminar on Friday and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. He will visit with guests after his seminars.Devlin has hosted or appeared on HGTV and DIY network shows “Smart Home,” “I Hate My Bath,” “Good, Better, Best,” “Spice Up My Kitchen,” “Ellen’s Design Challenge” and “Most Embarrassing Rooms.”Other features include a Party Flavors Sampling Event for guests to sample and purchase a variety of foods; a dog shows presented by No Leash Needed; a spa sale; painting, crafts, coloring and games for kids and a floral arrangement seminar with Walter Knoll Florist. Floral arrangement participants pay $10 to $20 for supplies for their take-home bouquets.The Home Show is once again hosting a food drive. Visitors can donate food items to the St. Louis Area Foodbank and are encouraged to bring nonperishable food in nonbreakable containers. Suggested items are peanut butter, tuna, canned meats and beans; canned fruits and vegetables, fruit juice, jellies, jams and dried fruit; cereal, oatmeal, rice and crackers; pasta and sauce, boxed meals, soups and stews; and baby products like powdered formula, baby food, diapers and wipes.Visit STLHomeShow.com for details.Home & Remodeling Show
