Ameren investing in improvements on Warrior Avenue

Today’s lifestyles depend on electricity more than ever before. Much of the energy infrastructure in Missouri is 40 years or older and nearing the end of its service life.Ameren Missouri is investing millions of dollars in projects throughout its service territory to replace aging infrastructure to continue providing safe and dependable energy.Here, in Warren County, Ameren Missouri is spending approximately $80,000 to replace a 0.2 mile of power line and poles on Warrior Avenue Improvements here will enhance reliability for 1,326 Warren County customers.“By replacing aging infrastructure prior to failure, we can prevent future outages and maintain reliability” said Gene Unverfehrt, director of the North East Division for Ameren Missouri, which serves Warren County. “We’re focused on making the right investments to improve the reliability of the electric service in Warren County and nearby communities across the state for our customers now and for years to come.”As result, Ameren Missouri’s reliability has improved 44 percent over the last six years. On average, Ameren Missouri customers experience less than one outage per year.Their focus on reliability has placed them among the top 25 percent of utilities in the U.S.Ameren Missouri
