The Warren County Ambulance District Board of Directors approved the promotions of Amanda Warmann and Jody Sullivan to battalion chiefs.Warmann and Sullivan were selected from a group of five qualified candidates, officials said.Warmann joined the ambulance district as a paramedic in July of 2011. She has been recognized with the East Central Region Lifesaver award for her part in saving the life of a 50-year-old woman in cardiac arrest. She also helped a women give birth to a baby girl on the way to the hospital.During her downtime, Warmann thrives on spending time with her children Max and Grey and paramedic husband, Rob.Warmann enjoys being surrounded by people and is known for having a bubbly personality, traits that will guide her in her new role.“I am truly looking forward to the challenges of this new job and the rewards. I love having a job where you will not get bored and this industry certainly offers plenty of challenges,” Warmann said.Jody Sullivan also is a seasoned paramedic, having just completed his 10th year with the district. Sullivan has accumulated a collection of awards including two Heart Saver Hero Awards; two American Legion Post 122 EMS Person of the Year recognitions; and Warren County Record EMS Person of the Year.Sullivan’s career accomplishments include several EMS trainer certifications with the American Health and Safety Institute and National Association of EMS Instructors that has allowed him to be an instructor and part of the Warren County Ambulance District’s Youth Explorer group for many years.He has served on numerous committees within the district and the EMS community to include the district’s truck committee, medical equipment committee and the SSM EMS Protocol Review committee. His dedication to the success of the young citizens in the district is near and dear to his heart as well as the EMS industry in general.Sullivan is an avid hunter and enjoys the outdoors, camping and sports with his wife, Colette, and children Brenna and Kyle.District administrators hope the new battalion chiefs will be as successful in these roles as they were as a competitive team taking first place in the first annual SSM EMS Warrior Challenge in 2017.
