In 1973, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation’s communities. The EMS Strong campaign seeks to celebrate, unify and inspire the men and women of our nation’s emergency medical service. The Warren County Ambulance District takes this opportunity to honor the staff through appreciation gifts, staff meals, special events and EMS Week T-shirts all made possible by the generous support of local businesses and individuals. This year, nearly 30 businesses have shown their appreciation of the employees of Warren County Ambulance with monetary sponsorships, donations of items for staff thank you bags, gift cards etc.Community members and business are encouraged to extend a Tip O’ the Hat to the emergency medical service men and women during this special week.
