An interesting melding of two businesses helped form a one-stop advertising store in Warrenton. Now located at 602 Progress Parkway near the outlet mall, All About Signs and Shirts will hold an open house this Thursday, Oct. 13, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.In May 2014, Rhonda and Matt Moore purchased the well-known business of Donna Hampson, specializing in vinyl signs and banners. Hampson’s business thrived in the Warren County area for more than 30 years. Not ready to retire, Hampson stayed with the company, training the new owners on her equipment and expertise. The Moore’s daughter, Mallory Smith and husband Thomas, joined the company, offering experience in marketing and screen printing. In the summer of 2015, Kerry and Donna Hart, of Hart’s Sporting Goods, also were ready to sell their business. The Moores purchased their screen printing and embroidery machines, adding another dimension to their business.Corey Hart, the couple’s son, stayed on to offer 22 years of experience to All About Signs and Shirts. The company offers screen printing, heat transfer and embroidery to T-shirts, button ups, polos, hoodies and long-sleeve apparel.“It’s quite the family affair,” said Rhonda Moore. “Donna Hampson still works for us and Corey Hart is with us too. We are very blessed to be a part of this community and be a part of two businesses that had such a long time presence in the community.”The purchase of the new building located on Progress Parkway last October was another recent step for the company. The Moores remodeled the showroom area and added another 4,000 square feet to the back of the facility. The addition houses the silk screening machines, offices and embroidery machines.“T-shirts and signs are our primary products,” said Moore. “We also offer letter jackets and patches, trophies, medals and plaques.”Moore said the business is slowly adding the Swan Creek candle gift line and custom jewelry. Other products include personalized wine glasses, tumblers and a variety of promotional items.Hampson said the business makes a variety of signs, including lettering for 18-wheeler cabs and trailers, yard signs and banners.“I’ve always loved this industry,” said Mallory Smith. “It’s always a challenge. The design work is exciting. Donna has taken me under her wing. I didn’t even realize I had the design ability until she worked with me.”Moore said one of the great advantages of having a family business is offering flexibility to the people they employ.“We understand that family is first,” she said. That flexibility comes in handy for Thomas and Mallory as they juggle the birth of their second child, Lawson.“We even stopped here on the way home from the hospital,” said Mallory Smith. “I didn’t really even take much of my maternity leave because I just wanted to be here.”Smith said it’s tremendously helpful to have Grandma (Rhonda) on site to watch over both of their children when she is head down on a project. Their oldest child joins the family team after school. The next step for All About Signs and Shirts is to get better, more efficient and faster. The team is anxious to settle in to their new facility and offer the best advertising products available. For more information about the business, visit allaboutsignsandshirts.com or call 636-456-7949.All About Signs and Shirts recently purchased and renovated its facility on Progress Parkway in Warrenton.
