A 26-year-old man from Alberta, Canada was killed in a motorcycle accident on the evening of Tuesday, April 9, in Warren County. There were two vehicles involved in the accident, reported at the 202.4 mile marker.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Kyler Jay was driving westbound on Interstate 70 at 9:30 p.m. on a motorcycle behind Suzanne Lawson, of St. Louis who was driving a 2021 Hyundai Kona. According to the report, Lawson decreased her speed at which point Jay attempted to split the lane between her and a tractor trailer and struck the right side of her vehicle.
Jay was pronounced dead on the scene by the Warren County Ambulance District and transported to Martin Funeral Home. Lawson was uninjured.
