Alan Edward Nixon passed away on Oct. 13, 2022. He was born on January 10, 1966, in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Susan Nixon (Garriepy). He was the loving father of Joshua Nixon and the late Adam Nixon. His parents are the late Jerry Malcom Nixon and Carol Ann Nixon (Hewes) of The Villages, FL. He was the brother of Robert Nixon (Louanne) of Eustis, FL, and Glenn Nixon (Kimberly) of Cape Coral, FL.
Alan graduated from Attleboro High School in Attleboro, MA, in 1984. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1983-1998. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI in 1994.
He worked in manufacturing and jewelry sectors during his business career, including Vice President of Hand and Hammer in Woodbridge, VA, Operations Director of RQC, Ltd. in Williamsville, NY, retail management including Zales, Kay and Helzberg Jewelers in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and North Carolina, and more recently as General Manager for Empire and Tuff Shed in St. Louis. He was the Production Control Manager for LMI Aerospace in St. Charles, MO. His employment took him to the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Virginia, upstate New York, North Carolina and Missouri.
He enjoyed football, golf, swimming, grilling, and cooking, but the center of his life was his family and his pup, Muffin. He loved to drive, traveled to 47 of the 50 US states, enjoyed diverse food, and loved children and pets. He is remembered best for being a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
