Absentee ballots may be cast in the Warren County clerk’s office for the March 15 presidential primary election.Registered voters who will be absent from the county, have an illness or physical disability, are caretakers of those incapacitated or confined because of illness or disability, due to religious belief or practice, employment as an election authority, incarceration, and have provided all qualifications for voting, may cast absentee ballots.The clerk’s office will be open for absentee voters from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 12.Absentee ballots will be mailed upon written request no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 9. The written request must be signed and state the voter’s name, address at which it is being registered, the reason for requesting an absentee ballot, and the address to mail the ballot. Voters must include their party preference (Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Constitution).A first-time absentee voter must send a photocopy of identification along with the written request to receive a ballot.For information, call the clerk’s office at 636-456-3331.Absentee Voting
