Absentee ballots may be cast in the office of County Clerk Denise Stotler for the Aug. 4, 2020, election between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 1.
Registered voters can vote absentee under one or more of the following circumstances: absence from the county, illness or physical disability, caretakers of those incapacitated or confined due to illness or disability, religious belief or practice, employment as an election authority, incarceration but qualified to vote, at-risk for contracting or transmitting COVID-19 or you have COVID-19, or certified participants in the address confidentiality program.
You may request an absentee ballot from the Clerk’s office by email, fax, in person or online. You may also request a mail-in ballot in person or by mail, which will need to be returned by mail only and be notarized.
Absentee ballots will be mailed upon written requests received no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. Please be advised that when requesting an absentee ballot by mail, the request must be in writing, signed and must state your name, address at which you are registered, your reason for requesting an absentee ballot, the address to which the ballot is to be mailed.
If you are a registered voter that registered by mail and are voting for the first time, you must send a photocopy of your photo ID (driver’s license, non-drivers license, passport or military ID) along with your request for an absentee ballot.
