Absentee ballots may be cast in the office of County Clerk, Barbara Daly, for the Aug. 2 election.Registered voters who will be absent from the county, illness or physical disability, caretakers of those incapacitated or confined due to illness or disability, religious belief or practice, employment as an election authority and incarceration, provided all qualifications for voting are retained, may cast absentee ballots in the clerk’s office.Absentee ballots may be cast between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 30.Absentee ballots will be mailed upon written requests received no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 27. Please be advised that when requesting an absentee ballot by mail, the request must be in writing, signed and must state your name, address at which you are registered, your reason for requesting an absentee ballot, the address to which the ballot is to be mailed and if you are a registered voter who registered by mail and are voting for the first time, you must send a photocopy of you ID, along with you request for an absentee ballot.Also, for this election you must include your party preference for the ballot you are requesting (whether it is Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Constitution).Information on absentee ballots may be obtained by calling the county clerk’s office at 636-456-3331.Absentee Ballots
