30-day temporary closure scheduled for Veterans Memorial Parkway at Wright City

Posted

Beginning September 14, crews working on the Improve I‑70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will temporarily close Veterans Memorial Parkway (the I‑70 South Outer Road) for 30 days to construct the connections to the new roundabout east of Wright City.

The closure will extend from just east of Mueller Avenue to S. Stringtown Road. All work is weather dependent.

During the closure, motorists will need to use nearby I‑70 interchanges in Wright City and Foristell to travel around the area to reach desired locations along the outer road:

  • Drivers east of the closure should use the Routes T/W interchange at Foristell and travel west on I-70 to reach Wright City.
  • Drivers west of the closure should use Elm Street in Wright City to access the I‑70 interchange and travel east toward Foristell.

When the road reopens, two‑way traffic will resume on the newly constructed pavement and crews will begin work on the northern half of the new roundabout.
