Joyce R Moran (nee Bonderer), daughter of Raymond and Lucille Bonderer, beloved wife of Bill Moran, devoted mother of Bill Moran III, Kelly Gooding, and Erin Weeks, passed away peacefully on May 1. Joyce was born March 14, 1944 in Chillicothe, and later moved to Kansas City before settling in Webster Groves in 1972.

She attended Loretto Academy for high school and graduated from Webster College in 1966. Joyce’s passion for education led her to teach at Briar Crest Elementary until the birth of her son, Bill. She then dedicated herself to nurturing her children, later sharing her love for art as a teacher at Annunciation Catholic School, where her own children attended. Her commitment extended to serving as the president of the Annunciation St. Vincent de Paul Society, until moving to Innsbrook in 2007.

Joyce’s legacy lives on through her six grandchildren; Julia, Drew, Addison, Sebastian, Ayla, and Evan, whom she loved dearly. Known affectionately as “The Cake Lady” in Webster Groves, Joyce’s artistic talents shone through her beautifully crafted wedding and occasion cakes, bringing joy to countless celebrations.

She found fulfillment in all forms of creativity and cherished moments spent with her family. Joyce Moran will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering devotion to her loved ones, and her artistic spirit, which touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Joyce chose charitable donations over receiving gifts many times throughout her life. In honor of that, please consider a donation in lieu of gifts. She loved flowers, but preferred to see them in the garden instead of a vase.  She spent hours reading and enjoyed activities at the Warrenton Library. St Jude always held a special place in her heart.

There will be a celebration of life held on Sunday, June 2 at Innsbrook Resort - Charrette Creek Commons from noon to 4 P.M.
