City of Truesdale holding prescription drug take-back event

Posted

Truesdale Police Chief Casey Doyle announced at the April 24 board of aldermen meeting that the city would be hosting a prescription drug take-back event on Saturday, April 27.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

City Clerk  Elsa Smith-Fernandez said the event was meant to be "hassle free" with "no questions asked."

The events are common and an easy way for participants to get rid of prescription drugs that are expired or no longer needed in a safe manner.

Smith-Fernandez noted that while all prescription drugs will be accepted the city will not receive any used syringes or inhalers.

The event will take place in the board room on the east side of the Truesdale City Hall on Saturday.
