A 37-year-old Wright City woman was hospitalized after a car crash Nov. 28 near Truesdale.
The crash happened at 5:55 p.m. on Veterans Memorial Parkway west of South Spoede Lane, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report.
According to the report, a 2018 Kia Sportage driven by Silkence N. Simpson, 37 of Wright City, was stopped in traffic when she was struck by a 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by Ryder M. Dixon, 19 of Warrenton.
The report indicates that Dixon was checking his navigation device and failed to notice that Simpson's vehicle had stopped.
Simpson was taken by the Warren County Ambulance District to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis with what are listed as minor injuries. No additional information about her injuries was immediately available.
Simpson's vehicle suffered extensive damage. Dixon's vehicle was listed as totaled. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
