The Wright City baseball team pushed their winning streak to four games with wins over South Callaway and Louisiana.
Wright City (4-5) won their third consecutive game with a 6-4 road win over South Callaway last week. Wright City jumped out to a 6-1 lead and held on late for the win.
Wright City used a balanced offensive attack in the win. Six Wildcats scored a run and five Wildcats registered an RBI in the win. Duan McRoberts led Wright City with two hits. Jake Orf also reached base twice and led Wright City with two stolen bases. Trey Brakensiek started for the Wildcats on the mound. He pitched 4 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs. He struck out four South Callaway batters. He allowed six hits and three walks. Jake Mitts finished the game on the mound for Wright City. He pitched 2 2/3 innings. He allowed one unearned run. He struck out two South Callaway batters. He allowed four hits and surrendered two walks.
Wright City beat Louisiana 23-3 Tuesday to even their record at 1-1 in EMO conference games.
