Wright City’s annual community cleanup event is April 17, and volunteers are needed.
The Wright City Trash Bash is a yearly event where community members come out to collect litter and help keep the town looking nice. Last year’s Trash Bash was canceled because of COVID.
Lunches are being donated for all Trash Bash volunteers. Volunteers and groups interested in helping with the Trash Bash this year should contact Wright City Hall by calling 636-745-3101, so that enough lunches can be provided.
Trash Bash volunteers will meet 9 a.m. Saturday in Diekroeger Park, and will be assigned to different areas of town for cleanup. Reflective vests, trash bags and plastic gloves will be provided. Volunteers are recommended to bring their own pair of work gloves as well.
The Trash Bash this year is being organized by Unite Wright City. For more information, go online to www.facebook.com/UniteWrightCity.
Another of Wright City’s yearly events, the citywide yard sale, is coming up on April 30 and May 1. Anyone who wants to host a yard sale that day can register to have their address included on a map and advertisement for the event.
Those who wish to register their yard sale must do so by April 22, although you don’t have to register to host a sale.
Yard sale maps and a list of locations will be available from Wright City Hall on April 26.
For questions, call Wright City Hall at 636-745-3101.
