Sheriff's Deputy Ceira Brotherton responded to a report of a physical domestic assault in progress on the evening of Sept. 13.
When she arrived at the residence, the victim told Brotherton that Scott Queensen, 37, of Wright City, had physically assaulted her on more than one occasion, according to the probable cause statement.
The victim said the first incident took place at a church in Foristell, where Queensen had met the victim after she ran out of gas. She said Queensen proceeded to call her names and strike her in the face before leaving.
Later, the victim arrived at Queensen's residence to pick up a child, of whom the victim and Queensen share custody. According to the probable cause statement, the victim said she had previously entered the residence without knocking and picked up the child without incident numerous times in the past.
She then said when she arrived Queensen assaulted her again.
"He (Queensen) grabbed me, put me on the ground, got over me on his knees, held me by my hair, and my face is up because he has my hair up, just hitting me and he slammed my head over and over again. My son ended up coming to get the dog and he's just standing there watching him beat me like that," said the victim, according to the probable cause statement.
Brotherton reported that the victim displayed signs of physical abuse on her person including a visible bump on her forehead.
The child, who was a witness to the event, said "my mom threw a punch and then my dad put her to the ground in self defense," according to the probable cause statement.
A warrant was served for Queensen's arrest and while he was being taken into custody he resisted arrest going limp and reportedly telling the arresting officer he was attempting to trip them.
Queensen was charged with felony domestic assault in the third degree and resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony. He was taken into custody and is being held without bond.
